Day 1: This immersive, full-day course provides clinicians with essential hands-on techniques for optimizing performance of low-functioning patients with neurological impairments. Participants will gain proficient strategies for facilitating bed mobility, transfers, and pre-gait activities. Emphasis will be placed on understanding and addressing common limitations, such as flaccid upper extremity, perceptual deficits, and impaired trunk control, to effectively promote patient mobility and functional independence. Engaging in case-based scenarios will foster clinical problem-solving, empowering participants to develop individualized solutions using motor learning principles for optimal patient outcomes. This course offers a unique blend of practical experience and theoretical insight, equipping practitioners with tools to make meaningful progress in neurological rehabilitation.

Day 2: This comprehensive full-day course day is designed for therapists working with higher-functioning patients with neurological impairments. The techniques will emphasize gait training, transitional movements, and advanced upright mobility skills. Participants will engage in hands-on practice with facilitation techniques for pre-gait/gait activities, stair navigation, and floor-to-stand transfers. The course also delves into reactive balance strategies and high-intensity gait training, equipping therapists with effective methods to elevate patient performance. Emphasis will be placed on integrating motor learning principles into treatment sessions to optimize patient outcomes will be explored, along with strategies for integrating motor learning principles into treatment sessions to maximize patient performance and safety.
