Advanced Handling Techniques for Functional Mobility - Day 1&2
Advanced Handling Techniques for Functional Mobility - Day 1&2
Course Description:
This 2-day, lab-based course is designed for both physical and occupational therapists working with individuals with neurological impairments. Through real-time, case-based problem-solving, participants will refine their clinical reasoning and hands-on handling skills to improve functional mobility across a spectrum of abilities.
Therapists will learn techniques for bed mobility, transfers, and early upright activity for lower-functioning clients, as well as gait training, stair negotiation, reactive balance, and advanced transitions for those with higher mobility. Motor learning principles—including intensity, salience, error augmentation, and external cues—are emphasized to improve retention, carryover, and maximize therapeutic engagement.
Included in this course:
1 hour of pre-recorded content covering foundational motor learning and preparatory concepts
Post-course access to videos of treatment strategies created during the course for ongoing application
Note: If you attend all 3 days, you will receive a certificate demonstrating proficiency in neuro handling and a discount off your total purchase. USE CODE NEURO2025
